Claudia Kissling

Claudia KisslingClaudia Kissling is a research fellow at the Otto-Suhr-Institute for Political Science at Freie Universität Berlin. She studied International Relations at the Institute Universitaire de Hautes Etudes Internationales in Geneva and received her PhD at the Law Faculty of the University of Potsdam. Her research focus is on international law, global democracy, legitimacy, international and regional parliamentarism, the UN, the IPU, civil society, NGOs, and nuclear non-proliferation. She has previously worked at the German Bundestag, the IPU and at the University of Bremen's Collaborative Research Center "Transformations of the State". Moreover, since its foundation, she has been Vice-Chairperson of the Committee for a Democratic U.N. (KDUN) which operates the Campaign for the Establishment of a UN Parliamentary Assembly (CEUNPA).
