Herman J. Kraft is currently the Executive Director of the Institute for Strategic and Development Studies (Philippines), and Assistant Professor at the Department of Political Science at the University of the Philippines where he teaches courses in International Relations (particularly on International Security broadly defined) and Comparative Politics (including Democratization and Human Rights in Southeast Asia).
He has been involved in unofficial and informal dialogue mechanisms on security in Southeast Asia and the broader Asia Pacific region since 1993. He has worked on and published articles and book chapters on regional security and security issues involving the Philippines and Southeast Asia.
