Alexia Herwig

Alexia Herwig is a post-doctoral researcher at the Centre for Law and Cosmopolitan Values and lecturer of WTO law at the University of Antwerp, Belgium. She holds a JSD and LLM degree from New York University School of Law and a Bachelor of Science from LSE. Prior to joining the University of Antwerp, Alexia has worked as a post-doctoral researcher at the Special Research Centre on Transformations of the State at the University of Bremen, Germany and has practised law with a Brussels law firm. Her current research focuses on the constitutionalisation of the WTO, global distributive justice and labour law aspects raised by the liberalisation of trade in services. Other research interests of hers include food safety regulation under WTO law and EU law.
