Dayanna Sanchez Rodriguez is Coordinator of Research and Knowledge Transfer, researcher and Coordinator of the research group in Latin American Regional Studies at the Piloto University in Bogotà. 
She was director in the Social and Political Area at Andean Parliament and Coordinator of research at the Department of Law and Political Science, San Buenaventura University, Cali, Colombia. 
She wrote extensively on Andean and South American integration, democratic deficit in the integration process, regional security, citizen participation in the Andean Community, Migration, and populism in South America.
