Jonathan R. Strand
Jonathan R. Strand is an Associate Professor of Political Science the University of Nevada Las Vegas who specializes in international relations, political economy, and East Asia. He has held research positions at the United Nations University’s Institute of Advanced Studies in Japan and consulted for the G-24. Jonathan Strand has published multiple works on the internal governance of the International Monetary Fund, World Bank, and regional development banks. He has also published on other topics, such as Japanese foreign aid, globalization, United Nations reform, and global environment governance. His research has appeared in journals such as World Development, The World Economy, Journal of East Asian Studies, Global Governance and Economics of Governance. His book, The Regional Development Banks: Development Lending with a Regional Flavor, is published by Routledge. He received his Ph.D. in Political Science in 1999 from the University of Nebraska.
