Stephen Kingah
Stephen Sevidzem Kingah holds a PhD in international law with focus on the rules on access to affordable medicines and vaccines in the South. He defended his doctoral thesis at the Centre for International and European Law at the Faculty of Law and Criminology of the Free University of Brussels (VUB). He is research fellow at the United Nations University’s Institute for Comparative Regional Integration Studies in Bruges. He has also been research associate at the Institute for European Studies of the VUB. While completing his PhD in 2008, Stephen worked at the European Commission as ad hoc administrator charged with relations between the Commission and international financial institutions. He has also served as consultant for the European Parliament. His research interests include European and international rules that impact access to affordable medicines and vaccines in the South; the rule of law, human rights and democratization in Africa; the African Union and EU-ACP relations.
