Gandois

Hélène Gandois is a Training Associate with the United Nations Institute for Training and Research (UNITAR), New York Office, and a Visiting Research Scholar at the College of Staten Island, City University of New York. She has served in various positions at the United Nations, the United Nations University and the Carnegie Council for Ethics and International Affairs. She holds a Ph.D. in international relations from the University of Oxford on African regional organizations with a peace and security mandate. Her dissertation has been published in 2009 under the title “From ploughshare to sword: regionalism in Africa”. She has conducted field studies in Nigeria, Botswana and South Africa. Her research interests include regional integration and democratisation processes in Africa and comparative regionalism.
